HE PERPETUAL HELP CENTER was started in 1945 by the Redemptorists to promote devotion to and knowledge of Mary under Her special title "MOTHER OF PERPETUAL HELP".

His Holiness Pope Pius IX challenged all Redemptorists to "MAKE HER KNOWN" and since its humble beginnings in a room in the Rectory of the Inmmaculate Conception Church in the Bronx, to its present location also in the Bronx - we have faced and met that challenge by various means.

All of our correspondence and mailings have reproductions of Her Image; we have sponsored Perpetual Help Novena Services locally and world-wide and some of those were broadcast on the radio. We have distributed millions of holy cards that depict the image of "OUR MOTHER OF PERPETUAL HELP" all over the world.

One of the largest endeavors to "MAKE HER KNOWN" is the distribution of Religious Articles through our program known as "PERPETUAL HELP KITS" which are sent to the Foreign and Home Missions. Thousands of these kits sent free of cost to the Missionaries are made possible through the generosity of our donors. The kits are sent only to Priests, Religious Brothers and Sisters and accredited Religious Ed Teachers working full time on the Missions.
